After 14 years, the EAN Regional Teaching Course took place in Georgia again, but not in the capital of Tbilisi, but a 4-hour drive away, in the 2nd largest town, Kutaisi, which is an old University town and the administrative and cultural Capital of the western part of Georgia.

Stefan Evers (SE): My name is Stefan Evers, I studied medicine at the University of Münster, Germany, and received an MD in 1992. In addition, I studied musicology and received a PhD in this subject. -
First of all, I want to thank EAN for unique opportunity to visit the Headache Clinic at the department of Neurology at the Evangelical Hospital in Unna, Germany.

Ann Neurol 2015 Sept 29;doi: 10.1002/ana.24534. Migraine is a worldwide primary headache disorder that can be highly disabling and with an important impact on quality of life. Migraine has been linked to an increased risk for vascular diseases by sharing the same ethiopathogenesis, related to alterations mediated by the endothelium. -

On Sunday, June 21, 2015, a Public Awareness Day was organised around the theme Diagnosing, Treating and Managing Headache and Sleep Disorders at the Neurology Lecture Hall in the Alte Nervenklinik at the Charité Campus. The meeting was a joint initiative by EAN and EFNA, the European Umbrella Patient group for neurological illness. In spite of the good weather on this Sunday afternoon, some 40 people attended the meeting.

Dimos-Dimitrios Mitsikostas (DDM): The European Headache Federation represents all national Headache Societies in Europe and neighbouring nations. Since its foundation in 1992, EHF has sought to improve the life of those affected by headache in this territory. Headache is by far the commonest neurological symptom and primary headache disorders are the most frequent neurological conditions affecting million Europeans. -
