July 29, 2016The European Brain Council (EBC) is carrying out a new Study for 2015-2017 on the “Value of Treatment: Bridging the Early Diagnosis and Treatment Gap for Brain Disorders”. -
Prof. David B. Vodušek (DV): The European Association of Neurosurgical Societies’ structure is somehow similar to that of the EAN as both societies have European member societies as well as individual members worldwide. Can you please illustrate to the EANpages readers how the EANS structures its work with the member societies? Prof. Andre Grotenhuis (AG): Originally founded in 1971 as a federation of the national neurosurgical societies of Europe, the EANS embarked upon an individual membership programme some twelve years ago.

President’s Page: The new Consensus Statement on European Brain Research
April 1, 2016On March 18th, 2016 the ‘Consensus statement on European Brain Research’ (Morris et al., 2016) has been launched in Brussels at the Brussel office of the European Brain Council. Several organisations related to brain science, including the European Academy of Neurology, participated. The European Brain Council is uniting the European organisations of physicians for Neurology, Psychiatry, Neurosurgery, the scientists for both molecular and systemic Neurosciences and the European patient organisations for neurological and psychiatric diseases (see below 1). -
