On Sunday, June 21, 2015, a Public Awareness Day was organised around the theme Diagnosing, Treating and Managing Headache and Sleep Disorders at the Neurology Lecture Hall in the Alte Nervenklinik at the Charité Campus. The meeting was a joint initiative by EAN and EFNA, the European Umbrella Patient group for neurological illness. In spite of the good weather on this Sunday afternoon, some 40 people attended the meeting.

President’s Page: The first congress of the European Academy of Neurology
July 1, 2015The First EAN congress took place in Berlin at the CityCube, June 20-23, 2015. 6400 participants from 106 countries were attending 8 Symposia, 25 Teaching courses, 23 Focused workshops, 5 Hands-on courses, 3 Interactive sessions, 5 Special Sessions and showed 1546 posters. Furthermore, 2 Scientific Satellite Symposia took place at the Charité, as well as 17 Industry Satellite Symposia. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive. -

The networking event during the 1st Congress of the European Academy of Neurology took place on Monday, June 22nd, 2015 at the Orangery of Charlottenburg Palace (Schloss Charlottenburg), which is the largest palace in Berlin, and the only surviving royal residence in the city dating back to the time of the Hohenzollern family. It was built at the end of the 17th century and expanded during the 18th century. It includes much exotic internal decoration in baroque and rococo styles.

The EAN booth at the 1st Congress of the EAN was located in the Exhibition Hall and provided information about the EAN, its membership categories & educational grants, as well as the upcoming EAN congress in Copenhagen 2016.
