This is an annual update course run by the Institute of Neurology Queen Square, London. The course is designed for consultants and senior trainees in neurology, and other neuroscience specialties, from the UK, Europe and worldwide, and aims to provide a practical update on the hospital management of neurological diseases. The course will include a series of lectures, video sessions, a CPC and a debate. The course is accompanied by a detailed course book providing extensive background material and papers.
The features include:
- The Nobel Awardee lecture given by Professor John O’Keefe, winner of the 2014 Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine, and Professor at UCL Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience, Queen Square
- 6 plenary topics with lectures given by a faculty of 17 consultant staff from the National Hospital, Queen Square
- A debate on the motion: ‘Neurology and psychiatry should be a single discipline ‘
- A video session on sleep disorders
- A CPC session on a difficult case
The course fees are kept very low to allow as wide an access as possible.
