This is an annual course for consultants and senior trainees in neurology and other neuroscience specialties from Britain, other European Countries and elsewhere. The course is designed to provide a comprehensive update on the practical hospital management of neurological diseases. The emphasis of the course is on modern techniques and therapies in a clinical setting, and on the clinical practice of neurology.
The six plenary sessions are on: therapy in acute neurology, neuromuscular diseases, headache and Parkinson’s disease, difficult therapy areas, neuropsychiatry and dementia, stroke. There is also a ‘Nobel Lecture’ by the 2014 Nobel Laureate for Medicine, Jim Rothman. The programme also includes video sessions, a clinico-pathological conference and a ‘Town Hall’ session. The meeting is intended to be didactic but also entertaining and informative. A reception will be held at the National Hospital, Queen Square. The course carries 15 CME points.
Registration fees are kept very low, in order to make the course accessible for as many as possible.
