Thank you for hosting applicants of the EAN Clinical Fellowship. How would you evaluate this EAN educational opportunity? This is a super opportunity for trainees in underserved areas and countries to gain practical and valuable experience of management of Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorder in a pragmatic and systematic manner.

In 2016, the EAN president Günther Deuschl and ECTRIMS (European Committee for Treatment and Research in MS) president Xavier Montalban have decided to join the forces of the two societies, and prepare a common guideline for the treatment of multiple sclerosis (MS). In view of the recent increase of medications approved for relapsing- and progressive MS, evidence-based guidance is needed to ensure standardized treatment of MS patients throughout Europe.

As in the previous years, EANpages asked EAN committee members, panel chairs, and invited speakers  which session one should not miss at the upcoming congress in Lisbon 2018. Please find their answers below!

David B Vodušek (DBV): In light of your long-standing experience in the world of neurology world-wide, what would your “diagnosis” be concerning its “state of art”? A new guideline on cerebral venous thrombosis (CVT) diagnosis and treatment issued by the European Stroke Organization (ESO) and endorsed by the European Academy of Neurology (EAN) was recently published in ESO (long version) and EAN (abbreviated version) official journals [1, 2].

The 9th exam of the European Board of Neurology took place in Amsterdam on June 23rd last, one day before the start of the 3rd EAN congress.

The special session of the Residents and Research Fellow Section (RRFS) took place on Sunday 25.06.2017 during the EAN congress 2017 in Amsterdam.
