Our editors' pick of Covid-related cross-sectional case control studies from the scientific press for July 2022.

On the final day of EAN 2022, the EAN presidency was handed over to the new president, Prof. Paul Boon, chairman and senior full professor of neurology at Ghent University Hospital and Director of 4Brain at Ghent University.

Our research paper of the month is a meta-analysis investigating the influence of intraventricular fibrinolysis on functional outcomes in patients with intracerebral haemorrhage.

The European Brain Council marked its 20th anniversary with a Special Session on 20 Years of Advocacy for the Brain at the 8th Congress of the European Academy of Neurology in Vienna on 28 June 2022.

The last day of EAN 2022 started with this interesting symposium on cognitive deficit and dementia, organised in cooperation with Alzheimer Europe.

This Special Session on Clinical, Digital and Rural facets of neurology practice was held in collaboration with the Indian Academy of Neurology.
