Young Neurologists, Neurosurgeons and Neurophysiologists (YNNN)
September 1, 2016What is the YNNN? The association of Young Neurologists, Neurosurgeons and Neurophysiologists (YNNN) was founded in the 1970’ies in Denmark. The YNNN was formed from the Danish associations of Neurology (DNS), Neurosurgery (DNKS) and Clinical Neurophysiology (DSKN), but it is an independent association. It started with small meetings in basements, but in the last 10 years the association has grown into a nation-wide organization with about 350 members, and the annually joint meeting gathers more than 100 members. -

August 1, 2016The special session organized by EAN RRFS was held on the last day of the EAN Congress 2016 and brought together an inquisitive group of neurologists in training and board certified neurologists, who are interested in neurology education. The focus of the special session was to explore the differences in residency training, and work prospects across Europe. -

Report: The Swiss Association of Young Neurologists
August 1, 2016The Swiss Association of Young Neurologists (SAYN) was founded on the 31st of October 2014 in Interlaken during the annual meeting of the Swiss Neurological Society (SNS) by a group of young and enthusiastic Neurology trainees. It was supported by and organised from the beginning on as part of the SNS. Since inception the SAYN is structured as an executive committee and core group. -

July 13, 2016Babinski is the association of neurologists in training in Flanders – the Dutch-speaking part of Belgium. Residents from all 4 medical universities are included: Ghent, Leuven, Antwerp and Brussels. Babinski was founded in the summer of 2015. -

Copenhagen 2016: Hospital Visit of the Resident and Research Fellow Section of the EAN
May 30, 2016The Resident and Research Fellow Section (RRFS) of the EAN organised together with the “Yngre Neurologer Neurokirurger Neurofysiologer (YNNN)” a visit of the Rigshospital – University Hospital during the EAN Conference in Copenhagen on Sunday 29th of May 2016. The YNNN as well as the physicians of the Rigshospital generously organized the visit which was definitely one of the outstanding highlights of RRFS activities. -

It was a great honor for me to be awarded with the EAN Research experience fellowship. I spend the six months at the Epilepsy Center of University Hospital Freiburg, Germany. My project’s title was "EEG-fMRI localization of epileptic activity using advanced analysis techniques (Grouiller-Method)".

It has been a great honor for me to be awarded with the EAN scientific fellowship 2015. Thanks to the EAN, I had the chance to spend one year at the Sobell Department of Motor Neuroscience and Movement Disorders of the University College of London and to join the Movement Disorders Clinic under the supervision of Professor Kailash Bhatia.
