From February to July 2021, I attended the Clinical Neurophysiology Unit of Uppsala University and Hospital and took part in both clinical and research activity.

The EAN Student Task Force is proud to announce that the 'Why Neurology?' essay competition will be held again this spring, before the 8th EAN Congress, 25 – 28 June 2022.

Application is currently open for the EAN Student Teaser Fellowship, for very early career medical students.

The annual European Board of Neurology Examination will be conducted for the 14th time this year and application is still open until 1 March!

As one of the ongoing goals of both the EAN and its Student Task Force is to involve undergraduate medical students in different EAN activities, we have decided to create a Students’ Corner on EAN pages and give space for students’ voices to be heard!

During my nine-month research fellowship granted by the European Academy of Neurology I have had the opportunity to carry out my research project at Newcastle University (Newcastle upon Tyne, UK) and the affiliated NHS movement disorders clinic.

It is with a great pleasure that I report on my experience enabled by the EAN Research Fellowship Programme. My research training took place over a period of 24 weeks in 2021 at the Neuroinfection Laboratory of the Institute for Infectious Diseases in Bern.
