During the EAN 2022 Congress, EAN Scientific Committee Chair, Prof. Thomas Berger took the opportunity to chat with Prof. Wolfgang Grisold, President of the World Federation of Neurology.

One of the goals of the EAN Guideline Production Group (GPG) is to educate EAN members on the process of guideline development. This year, one day prior to the EAN Congress 2022, we held a workshop on guidelines, aiming to familiarise clinicians with the methodology behind guidelines.

The European Brain Council marked its 20th anniversary with a Special Session on 20 Years of Advocacy for the Brain at the 8th Congress of the European Academy of Neurology in Vienna on 28 June 2022.

The last day of EAN 2022 started with this interesting symposium on cognitive deficit and dementia, organised in cooperation with Alzheimer Europe.

This very interesting Special Session in cooperation with the European Psychiatric Association covered recent progress made in Alzheimer’s disease and frontotemporal dementia, including evolving disease definitions, treatment, and prevention.

This joint Special Session between EAN and the World Federation of Neurology (WFN) was a follow-up of the European Brain Health Summit, which took place on 31 May, 2022.

This very interesting Topical Symposium provided a comprehensive summary of myasthenia gravis, including the clinical presentation, diagnostics, and well-established treatment approaches.

Plenary Symposium 3 at EAN 2022 took place in the Main Auditorium and bore the title 'Improving lives and reducing burden: what evidence do we need to implement?'
