Aligning with EAN's priorities for the promotion of diversity, equity, and inclusion in neurology, the scope of this networking session was to offer practical advice regarding the challenges that women may face in their clinical and academic careers by bringing together female neurologists from different ethnic and cultural backgrounds.

May 25, 2020“Challenges for Women in Neurology” has been an amazing session centred on the challenges that women have to face in their careers as neurologists and researchers. The session was covered with three excellent and touching talks by Professors of Neurology and was moderated by Prof. Elena Moro and Dr. Antonella Macerollo. -
Prof. Anne Hege Aamodt discussed the perspective of challenges in Neurology in Norway. She is the President of the Norwegian Neurological Association and Consultant at the Department of Neurology, Oslo University Hospital. She has 2 children. She highlighted the importance to organize some specific neurology rota during the residency for female colleagues.
