Netherlands
ICNC is the largest congress of child neurology in the world, organised once every two years, with an expected attendance of up to 1500 child neurologists, paediatricians, neurologists, neurosurgeons, neuroscientists, rehabilitation specialists, nurses, technicians, dieticians, physical therapists, and other allied health care workers.
This congress is organised by members of the Dutch Society of Pediatric Neurology, in close collaboration with the International Child Neurology Association (ICNA). Since its foundation in 1975, our society has continuously been active and has flourished. With a primary background in either adult neurology or pediatrics, Dutch pediatric neurologists are united in one society and form a well-trained and skilled group of colleagues. Our society aims to maintain the highest national standard for the care of all pediatric patients with neurological disorders, in close collaboration with our colleagues in neurology, pediatrics, genetics and rehabilitative medicine, among others.
The general theme of the congress – Bridging worlds: child neurology from a global perspective – reflects the multicultural background of the Dutch society, with inhabitants originating from all over the world.
