Christian Krarup: How does it feel to be the EAN Vice President? What is your main message to the European community?
Franz Fazekas: I am grateful for the support of the EFNS and the ENS and the confidence they have in me to contribute to the formation and development of the new society. I am sure that the best traditions of the EFNS and the ENS can be combined to advance the common goals of Neurology in Europe and that the combination will result in synergy. My aim will be to improve and advance Neurology across Europe to obtain the highest quality of patient care. Additionally it is my goal to further the development and training of young neurologists to allow the best patient care, treatment and examination in the rapidly developing field of Neurology and to make European Neurology visible throughout the world.
Franz Fazekas is Professor of Neurology at the University of Graz in Austria.
