RRFS Representatives Network Meeting in Warsaw 2025: Strengthening Collaboration and Shaping the Future
The Resident and Research Fellow Section (RRFS) Representatives Network Meeting took place in Warsaw, Poland, on 14–16 February 2025, bringing together young neurologists and researchers from across Europe to discuss ongoing and future initiatives within the European Academy of Neurology (EAN).
Hosted by the Polish Neurological Society and coordinated by their National Representative Aleksandra Pietruczuk and the RRFS Office, the event commenced on Friday, 14 February, with the RRFS-Brain Health Summit, providing a vital forum for discussions on brain health research and policy. The day continued with a collaborative session between RRFS members and the Polish Young Society of Neurology, emphasising shared goals and future directions.
On Saturday, 15 February, the official RRFS Representatives Network Meeting took place, serving as a strategic annual forum for representatives from diverse countries to engage in key discussions, refine shared values, and define RRFS priorities for the academic year ahead. RRFS Chair Giacomo Sferruzza and the RRFS Officeled dynamic sessions, highlighting the structure of the RRFS Office, ongoing projects and surveys for 2025, and future opportunities.
The event also featured insightful presentations, including an expert session on publishing in the Polish Journal of Neurology & Neurosurgery by Prof. Jarosław Sławek and a compelling AI in neurology workshop by Prof. Maria Chiara Malaguti, where participants explored innovative applications of artificial intelligence in the field.
Finally, on Sunday, 16 February, the meeting focused on the RRFS Management Meeting, involving representatives from key EAN committees, followed by discussions about EAN 2026 Congress initiatives.
