Dr. Catarina Fernandes
We are delighted to invite you to Porto, Portugal, to take part in the EAN Regional Teaching Course on 13-15 March 2025.
The RTC will take place over three days, focusing on three main topics in neurology: transthyretin-related amyloid neuropathy, multiple sclerosis and other demyelinating disorders, and functional neurological disorders.
The first day will be dedicated to pathophysiology, genetics, clinical presentation and diagnosis of transthyretin-related amyloid neuropathy. The second day will be focused on new insights into immune mechanisms behind demyelinating disorders, new biomarkers in multiple sclerosis and the advances in the treatment of MOG antibody-associated disease.
The last day will start with an RRFS lecture by the Portuguese national representative, followed by four lectures regarding the hot topic of functional neurological disorders. We intend to cover the epidemiology and comorbidities of functional neurological disorders, with a focus on functional movement disorder, psychogenic nonepileptic seizure and functional cognitive disorder.
All three days will feature lectures, interactive discussions and workshops with experts from Portugal as well as distinguished EAN speakers from throughout Europe.
We also will offer a social event to all participants to increase the networking during this event.
The course is limited to 200 participants. For registration and programme details, please visit the course website: RTC in Porto, Portugal – ean.org. In case of doubts, contact the organisers, Dr. Catarina Fernandes (cirendireca[at]gmail.com) or the Portuguese Neurology Society (spn.secretariado[at]gmail.com)
We hope to see you in Porto, a wonderful and young city in the north of Portugal!
