The EAN is pleased to announce the establishment of the European Journal of Neurology Jes Olesen Award, recognising exceptional research in the field of neurology and related specialties.
Prof. Jes Olesen (pictured) who is funding the award, is a former European Federation of Neurological Societies (EFNS) President and founder of the European Journal of Neurology.
The award will be granted annually to the best original paper submitted by authors who fulfil one of the following criteria:
- Trainees, residents, research fellows, or PhD students in neurology or other specialties related to neuroscience or clinical neurology (e.g. pharmacology, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, psychiatry, psychology)
- Neurology specialists who completed their training no longer than three years ago
- The above-mentioned groups up to a maximum of ten years after receiving a license to practice medicine
The recipient will present their work at the EAN annual congress, for the first time at EAN 2025 in Helsinki, 21-24 June 2025.
