Prof. Paul Boon, President of the EAN and Prof. Tarek Yousry, President of the ESNR (European Society of Neuroradiology) are pleased to announce that a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the EAN and ESNR has been signed this summer, to join forces and promote optimal cooperation between both societies. Neuroradiology serves as a valuable source for advancing the current neurological understanding of the major diseases associated with the nervous system.
The ESNR promotes and defends diagnostic and interventional neuroradiology, to demonstrate its value in healthcare and to society, and to promote and enhance education, training, and research of this radiological subspecialty for the ultimate benefit of the patients. The ESNR works with neuroradiologists from different European and non-European countries, and with other organisations that share similar missions and objectives on a worldwide scale, with the ultimate goal of providing and leading education, training and research in neuroradiology.
This MoU will enhance and extend the EAN’s cooperation – in particular through the EAN Scientific Panel on Neuroimaging, co-chaired by Dr Maria Assunta Rocca and Prof. Roland Wiest – with this important scientific society.
