We are proud to present the launch of 45,000 Brains at our Congress this year. This is a new forum for neurologists in the EAN to discuss difficult cases on the EAN website. The idea is that clinicians with a difficult neurological diagnosis or management problem may benefit from the collective expertise of the 45,000 Brains of neurologists in our organisation. Cases will then be archived to create a unique clinical resource. We believe it is especially timely in the current climate of COVID19, with constantly emerging neurological complications still being defined, and optimal management often uncertain.
If you have a difficult case, and are not sure what to do, perhaps a neurologist in the EAN has seen this before and has advice on how things went for their patient. The forum to submit a case is simple and quick. The submitting clinician just has to ensure that patient confidentiality is maintained and patient consent obtained to upload details of their case to the forum. Scans, EEGs and other paraclinical data can be uploaded. Then wait for the 45,000 Brains of the EAN to give their thoughts …
