Between the 25th and 28th of September 2019, the German Neurological Society (deutsche Gesellschaft für Neurologie – DGN) held its annual congress at the International Congresscenter in Stuttgart, Germany. As one of the largest neurological gatherings in Europe it was attended by approximately 5,500 health professionals associated with Neurology.
Once again, the German young neurologists (“Junge Neurologen”) crafted an exclusive program for medical students, neurology residents and other health professionals in training.
The young participants got the opportunity to not only receive state of the art knowledge on certain neurological diseases and diagnostic tools, but also to receive advice on the challenges on writing papers and creating posters. Through the DGN app the young participants could participate in presentations, giving way for discussions with distinguished health professionals.
Moreover, the young professionals were able to get connected with the Resident and Research Fellow Section (RRFS) of the EAN and to obtain an update on new developments and opportunities for residents and research fellows across Europe.
And at the end of the day, participants could get casually connected during a “Social Club” or present their passion about Neuroscience on stage during a “Science Slam”.
The meeting was once again an excellent opportunity to gain more insight into the world of Neurology and to strengthen the ties between young neurologists – nationally as well as internationally.
