This single centre retrospective study identifies the piriform gyrus as a crucial part in successful epilepsy surgery of temporal lobe epilepsy (TEL). In 107 people with TLE undergoing surgery, the postoperative seizure free group significantly differed in a larger proportion of piriform gyrus being resected.(1)
