EAN is happy to inform of its collaboration with the project “European Partnership on Competencies for High Value COst COnscious CARE” (CoCoCare).
The CoCoCare pilot project aims at filling the education gap between the importance of medical guidelines for cost-effective healthcare and the fact that this matter is rarely included in medical training programs.
The objective of the project is twofold:
1)To teach residents to develop and implement high quality, evidence-based guidelines and;
2)To equip them with the competences to be more cost conscious.
The learning programme will combine e-learning, plenary discussions and workshops, self-study and practical training from an innovative holistic approach – participation to the entire course is required.
Participants must be supervised by a neurologist from their hospital and are therefore kindly asked to register together with a supervisor.
The course will run from June 2019 till June 2020 and will require approximately 328 study hours from the trainees (expected workload 3-4 days/ month). The workshop (8 hours), which is also a kick-off of the course, will take place a day before the 5th EAN congress, in Oslo, on Friday, 28 June 2019. Travel & accommodation must be covered by the candidates.
There is room for 20 EAN Resident and Research Members from EAN Member countries.
The application deadline is Thursday, February 28, 2019 at 23:59 CET.
The final decision on application acceptance will be made by the EAN Guideline production group.
We believe this is a unique opportunity for residents to be trained in all aspects of development of medical guidelines through a state-of the-art international educational program.
More information on the programme and the workshop, as well as the application documents can be found on our website, please see here.
We look forward to receiving your applications!
