EAN and EBC to support the Marie Curie Proposal “HaPpY”:
They are made up of a network of European laboratories, clinicians, hospitals, companies and associations currently developing a training programme, called HaPpY, dedicated to train young researchers on the comorbidity between chronic pain and depression.
The consortium, so far, includes the following scientists and their affiliated universities and labs: Dr Ipek Yalcin (Strasbourg, France, coordinator of the project, in cc of the present email), Dr Esther Berrocoso (Cadiz, Spain), Dr Tomi Rantamäki (Helsinki, Finland), Drs Herta Flor and Rohini Kuner (Heidelberg, Germany), Dr Yves de Konick and Benoit Labonté (Québec, Canda), Drs Didier Bouhassira and Nadine Attal (Paris, France), all specialized in the fields of pain and/or depression either at the clinical or at the preclinical level.
The industrial partners associated with the project are: Doric Lenses Inc., Transpharmation Ireland Limited, Theranexus, Neurofit SAS.
EAN joins EBC and the letter indicating that the EBC agrees to endorse the programme. The following organisations already supported the consortium: European Depression Association, the European Network of Fibromyalgia Association, the European Psychiatric Association, Fibromyalgie France, Pain Alliance Europe, the Association for the Improvement of Mental Health Programmes, CIBER of Mental Health, the Spanish Society of Pain, the French Institute of Finland.
