Research Training Fellowship:
Ilaria Callegari from Italy was selected for her project: “The significance of lgM in CSF of patients with multiple sclerosis” which she will carry out at the Department of Neurology, University Hospital Basel, Switzerland under the supervision of Professor Tobias Derfuss.
Sara Dias from Portugal was selected for her project: “The role of sex steroid hormones in bacterial meningitis” which she will carry out at the Department of Neurology, Amsterdam Neuroscience, Academic Medical Centre, University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands under the supervision of Professor Diederik van de Beek.
Bastien Joubert from France was selected for his project: “In vivo effects of anti-CASPR2 antibodies” which he will carry out at the Institut d’Investigacions Biomèdiques August Pi i Sunyer (IDIBAPS), Barcelona, Spain under the supervision of Professor Josep Dalmau.
Nina Khizanishvili from Georgia was selected for her project: “Peripheral Nerves Impairment in Correlation with their Serological and Molecular Signature in Myotonic Dystrophy Types 1 and 2” which she will carry out at the Friedrich-Baur Institute, Department of Neurology, Ludwig- Maximillians University Munich, Germany under the supervision of Professor Benedikt Schoser.
Marta Scarioni from Italy was selected for her project: “Clinico-pathological correlations in frontotemporal dementia: a study in the Dutch population” which she will carry out at the VUMC Alzheimer centrum, Amsterdam, The Netherlands under the supervision of Professor Yolande Pijnenburg.
Research Experience Fellowship:
Alexandra Balatskaya, from Russia was selected for her project: “Epileptogenic networks in Frontal Lobe Epilepsy” which she will carry out at Hospital de la Timone, Department of clinical neurophysiology and epileptology, Marseille, France under the supervision of Professor Fabrice Bartolomei.
Aristeidis Katsanos, from Greece was selected for his project: “Transorbital Sonography in patients with Optic Neuritis” which he will carry out at St. Josef-Hospital, Ruhr University Bochum, Deptartment of Neurology, Bochum, Germany under the supervision of Dr Christos Krogias.
