Prof. F. Fazekas, President of the EAN and Prof. W. Struhal President of EFAS are pleased to announce that:
EAN has joined with EFAS to promote Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) disorders in Europe and advance optimal care and management for patients in Europe.
EAN and EFAS are the leading societies for neurologists and ANS disorders specialists, respectively, in Europe.
This new collaboration aims at enhancing education and scientific endeavors to the importance of ANS disorders within the field of neurology in Europe.
Jointly, the two organizations will be able to work more effectively towards the recognition of the importance and needs of ANS disorders and for strengthening funding for research in Europe.
The two societies have agreed to collaborate on the following specific activities to deliver this goal:
- Scientific Conferences: establish joint sessions at each other’s congresses, meetings and other relevant conferences;
- Optimizing Education: encourage attendance of members at summer schools and teaching courses;
- Liaison: encourage links with other relevant Societies.
The two societies’ mutual aspirations are complementary and fit well together.
EFAS will be invited to identify a delegate who will join the Management Group of the EAN Scientific Panel.
Future cooperation will support the care of patients living with ANS disorders across Europe and strengthen research in this field.
