Dear EAN members,
the successful event “Women in Neurology” will be held again this year, for the third time, on June 25th during the EAN congress in Amsterdam. It will be an informal working lunch-time event with the main objectives of discussing important topics related to women’s professional life.
It is well known that it is still difficult for women to organize and carry on their career (both academic and/or hospital) in Neurology. Therefore, women who have been successful in these tasks can inspire and really help other young women in training or at the beginning of their career in neurology. With these feelings, we have organized this women event during the two previous EAN congress (in Berlin and Copenhagen) with the support of the EAN board.
We are pleased to announce that the speakers of the 2017 edition will be:
- Mareike Dekker (Tanzania)
- Augustine Charway Felli (Ghana)
- Natela Okujava (Georgia)
Furthermore, Prof Selma Tromp (President of the Neurology Dutch Society) will be a co-chair of the seminar.
Speakers will report their experiences in career life, the challenges they have found as women, and how they have overcome and solved issues.
We believe that it will be a great opportunity to share professional experience among women neurologists and neuroscientists with different backgrounds. These events can suggest solutions to the different issues that female colleagues can face during their career.
Do not miss this unique opportunity of the year!
We are looking forward to meeting all of you!
