The eBbrain e-learning programme is a gold standard in interactive online learning tool for professionals in neuroscience.
One of the most challenging fields of neurology is that of neuroinflammatory disorders, conditions were pathological immune responses damage components of the nervous system. In the last two decades major advances were achieved in diagnosis and modification of the course of these diseases. The ebrain module on neuroinflammatory diseases, edited by Declan Chard and Thomas Berger, focuses primarily on multiple sclerosis, but also includes sessions on acute disseminated encephalomyelitis, Devic’s disease, autoimmune encephalopaties, neurological complications of systemic inflammatory and autoimmune disorders etc.
The reader can find lots of information regarding this group of diseases with unpredictable prognosis which may cause numerous and diverse symptoms and accumulating disability. The module consist of 16 sessions each lasting 20 min. The sessions outline the features of multiple sclerosis and other demyelinating disorders as we understand them today and reviews current practice in diagnosis and management. The sessions, written by neurologists are mainly directed to neurologists and specialists in neurorehabilitation, with some relevance as well to general physicians, rheumatologists and immunologists.
