In our interview series “Behind the Journal: Conversations with the Editors,” we are exploring the history and evolution of the European Journal of Neurology, in celebration of its 30th anniversary by sitting down with past editors and key figures who have determined the path of the EAN’s official journal and shaped it into the respected scientific powerhouse it is today.
Our sixth interviewee in the series is Prof. Claudia Sommer, the current Deputy Editor of the journal, who has recently been announced as the incoming Editor-in-Chief, taking over from Didier Leys in July 2025.
