We are excited to announce that the EAN is involved in the session Headache burden: the professionals’ and patients’ perspective at the upcoming European Headache Congress on 4 December, in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
The EAN and the European Headache Federation (EHF) have been official partner societies since 2018, when a Memorandum of Understanding was signed by both parties. In the upcoming joint Plenary Session, Prof. Elena Moro, EAN President, will be presenting the EAN Brain Health Mission (BHM) in her talk. The session will be co-chaired by Prof. Dimos Mitsikostas and Prof. Paolo Martelletti, with further renowned experts on the programme, including Elena Ruiz de la Torre representing the patient association European Migraine & Headache Alliance (EMHA).
Launched in 2023 the EAN-led Brain Health Mission, along with its’ 28 partner organisations, aims to enhance public understanding of brain health across all life stages. The EHF and EMHA are both strategic partners of the Brain Health Mission, which promotes public health strategies for better brain health, supports the development of healthcare workforces, and emphasises the importance of prevention, early detection, and intervention. Rooted in evidence-based research, the Brain Health Mission advocates for a holistic approach.
