Dear EAN members, colleagues, and friends,
I am sharing an important update with you regarding the EAN Congress 2025. Due to an unforeseen and significant development beyond our control—specifically, the recent announcement of a major United Nations event that will take place in Seville—the EAN has recently been informed that our annual congress cannot take place in Seville on 21–24 June as originally planned. Following careful and deliberate consideration, and given the need to keep the same date and the limited time frame, we have decided to return to the city of Helsinki, Finland, which hosted our extraordinarily successful EAN Congress in 2024 with record onsite attendance. The warm reception, cutting-edge facilities, and rich scientific atmosphere we already experienced in Helsinki have inspired us to once again embrace this exceptional city as our host.
Most importantly, this solution ensures consistency and stability. Our congress dates remain unchanged: EAN Congress 2025 will take place on 21- 24 June in Helsinki, Finland.
While the need to change locations was unexpected and very challenging, it also presents a unique opportunity to build upon the successes of 2024. The programme committee has planned an even more exciting programme, and this will be announced within the coming weeks. We will stay committed to innovation and excellence in healthcare and continue pushing the boundaries of neurological science and practice.
Still, the 2025 Congress will have a Spanish flair – the national organising committee of the Spanish Society of Neurology will actively contribute to the planning together with our Finnish colleagues. We will be able to deepen the connections we established and explore new horizons together.
We are confident that the EAN Congress 2025 in Helsinki will be an even greater success, offering expanded opportunities for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and the advancement of our field. The EAN Board and staff are committed to ensuring that this transition is smooth, and we are excited to work with you to make this event another one to remember.
We look forward to welcoming you back to Helsinki for another unforgettable EAN Congress.
Warm regards,
Elena Moro, EAN President
