The European Academy of Neurology is pleased to announce that our Assembly of Delegates elected several new EAN Board members at the EAN Congress 2024 in Helsinki.
Three new members were elected to the board for the first time, with one existing board member elected to a new position and another re-elected for a further term.
Kailash Bhatia, from the UK, is the new EAN President-Elect and will hold that position for the next two years before assuming the EAN presidency.
New board members Jana Midelfart-Hoff, from Norway, and Gereon R. Fink, from Germany, were elected Treasurer and Chair of the Scientific Committee, respectively.
Antonio Toscano (previously Treasurer) was elected Secretary General, while Matilde Leonardi was re-elected for a second term as Chair of the Communications Committee.
At an EAN Board meeting on 17 July, the final two places on the board were filled by the appointment of Nathalie Nasr, from France, as the new Education Committee Chair, and Irena Rektorova (outgoing Education Committee Chair) as the new Programme Committee Chair.
