The European Academy of Neurology (EAN) is dedicated to enhancing neurological excellence in Europe through fostering best practices in patient care, research, learning, and networking. Our mission is to promote quality, collaboration, and advancement by partnering with top clinicians, educators, advocates and scientists.
Production of European standards of diagnosis, treatment, and care within the various subfields of neurology is one of the most important aims of the EAN. The EAN has published 24 guidelines in the past ten years and 27 guidelines are currently in the pipeline.
The EAN Guideline Production Group (GPG) oversees the development of all guidelines, ensuring adherence to guideline production procedures and upholding quality standards. The GPG further provides scientific support to the Guideline Taskforces who develop these guidelines while applying the GRADE system – a formal process to rate the quality of scientific evidence in systematic reviews and to develop trustworthy and transparent guidelines.
The GPG mission is to incorporate patient perspectives and experiences into guidelines, enhancing their relevance and impact.
The EAN GPG is seeking a Patient Advocate: a strong communicator dedicated to representing patient voices and ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed.
