Following the election of new EAN Board members at the EAN Congress 2024, the newly composed EAN Board will appoint chairpersons to the EAN Education Committee and the EAN Programme Committee. We are therefore calling for applications from colleagues who would be interested in taking on these important functions within the EAN and are willing to devote their time and energy to the associated tasks.
At the end of this article, you will find a link to the application form, which asks for a brief outline of your specific experience and expertise, and your vision for the position.
1. Education Committee: This committee is responsible for planning and conducting all educational events and educational grants of the EAN. A track record in neurology education or assessment is particularly desirable.

2. Programme Committee: This committee is responsible for the scientific programme and sessions of the annual EAN congress, including abstract selection and related issues.

All EAN Board members must be (or be eligible to become) Fellow of EAN members; must attend the EAN annual congress, and at least one other in-person committee meeting during the year, as well as regular board meetings/teleconferences; and must maintain regular email contact. Expenses for any meetings outside the congress are fully met, but the position is otherwise entirely honorary.
On average, the work of a committee chair amounts to approximately 8 hours per week.
Applications will be considered following the EAN congress in Helsinki, on the basis of qualification, gender, speciality, and geographical distribution, by the EAN Board and the EAN President.
