Did you know that EAN members can submit survey proposals to explore a specific area of scientific interest? The European Academy of Neurology offers scientific support throughout the whole process, including survey design, set-up, and dissemination.
In the past few years, the EAN has facilitated a number of surveys resulting in notable publications, a list of which you can see on this page. If you or your panel is looking into collecting data on a specific research topic, this may be of interest to you.
As of December 2023, the European Academy of Neurology is introducing a new approach to supporting research surveys in neurology, offering all EAN members the opportunity to benefit from proposal, review, and dissemination services.
Online Submission
To ensure transparency and maximise your survey’s success, six fixed submission and launch dates throughout the year give you the chance to plan your research efficiently. Our new online form provides for a quick and convenient submission process.
Comprehensive Evaluation
All proposals received via the online submission form will be evaluated by the EAN Scientific Committee according to criteria including relevance, design quality, research impact, and the potential for the survey’s results to contribute to the Brain Health Mission (click here for more information on the assessment criteria).
High Visibility
Surveys approved by the Scientific Committee will be made accessible for a maximum of one month on the EAN website and disseminated via newsletters to reach the EAN’s large and diverse community. As previously, your final research results will be expected to be published in the form of a research paper in the European Journal of Neurology.
Support from the EAN Head Office will be provided throughout the process, ensuring a smooth journey from concept to publication.
