It is our pleasure to announce that a joint session between the European Sleep Research Society (ESRS) and the European Academy of Neurology will be held during the virtual ESRS eSLEEP Congress 2023, on 4-6 October. The session is scheduled for Friday, 6 October, 10:30-11:30, and will include talks from Stefan Seidel (Austria) on a clinical case of Female with numbness and fatigue, Evelina Pajediene (Lithuania) on Nocturnal bumps and jumps – parasomnia or epilepsy, and Luca Baldelli (Italy) on Kicks and punches during sleep in Parkinson’s disease – not always RBD. The session will be co-chaired by Giuseppe Plazzi (Italy) and Samson Khachatryan (Armenia).
In this interactive session, participants will be able to discuss the management of presented clinical cases and increase their knowledge about:
- Fatigue and sleepiness as leading symptoms of demyelinating and other neurological disorders
- Differential diagnosis and treatment pitfalls of nocturnal paroxysms
- Non-RBD related events during sleep that could be also suspected and managed in Parkinson’s disease.
