This year marks a great occasion in the history of our organization as we proudly celebrate the 20-year work anniversary of EAN’s Executive Director, Anja Sander!
A journey that started in 2003 has come to be two decades of unparalleled dedication, visionary leadership, and unwavering commitment to excellence have shaped our success and guided us towards new heights.
The European Academy of Neurology (EAN) was founded in 2014 when the two main European neurological societies, the European Neurological Society (ENS) and European Federation of Neurological Societies (EFNS), agreed to join forces and merge into a single organisation, creating Europe’s Home of Neurology.
With the merger that gave birth to The European Academy of Neurology in 2014, Anja’s unwavering commitment continued to shine. As part of this new chapter, she fearlessly embraced change and embraced the challenges that came with it. Her steadfast vision and guidance have been a driving force behind EAN’s continued success and growth.
Not only has Anja been an exceptional leader, but she has also been a supportive mentor and a caring friend to those fortunate enough to work alongside her. Her guidance and encouragement have nurtured talents, fostering a culture of collaboration and camaraderie within the neurology community.
As we celebrate this momentous occasion, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to Anja Sander for her invaluable contributions to EFNS and EAN. Her legacy will continue to shape the future of neurology and inspire generations to come.
Congratulations, Anja Sander, on this incredible milestone!
