The aim of the MDS-ES: Movement Disorders in Neurological and Systemic Disorders webinar is to offer a comprehensive overview of the most common movement disorders in neurological and systemic disorders, and to teach practical aspects regarding pathogenesis, clinical aspects and treatment.
To promote interaction between participants and international experts in the field, this course includes lectures with illustrative case studies and video examples.
After successful completion of this course, course participants will be able to describe the phenomenology of movement disorders which best characterize specific systemic disorders and to manage complex cases involving multidisciplinary approaches.
This course is relevant for the entire Neurology Community, in general, and for Neurologists, internal medicine (residents, fellows, senior physicians), in particular.
After the completion of this course, attendees will have the required knowledge to describe the main movement disorders types in different neurological disorders, recognize different types of movement disorders in some systemic disorders, elaborate the management plan for patients with these complex manifestations in neurological and systemic disorders.

MDS-ES Management of Advanced Parkinson’s Disease with Infusion Therapies

The MDS-ES Management of Advanced Parkinson’s Disease with Infusion Therapies course focus on the theoretical education and practical experience in the management of pump-based treatments for advanced Parkinson’s disease (Levodopa-carbidopa intestinal gel and apomorphine). This online regional course comprises lectures on patient selection, effects, side effects and practical management, as well as an interactive Q&A session with the experts. This webinar is designed for the educational needs of clinicians, post-doctoral fellows, medical residents, medical students, and allied health professionals with an interest in infusion therapies for advanced Parkinson’s Disease.
After the satisfactory completion, course attendees will be able to describe the theoretical evidence supporting CDS-based treatment; outline criteria and demonstrate process for selecting patients for pump-based PD treatment; determine the effects of pump treatments on motor, non-motor symptoms and quality of life; explain and demonstrate management of pump-based therapies; and identify possible side effects and complications of pump therapies, including management of these complications

MDS-ES Virtual School for Young Neurologists
November 20-21, 2020
The MDS-European Section School for Young Neurologists online course is designed to meet the educational requirements of young neurologists within five years of their completion of general neurological training who are interested in specializing in movement disorders, and young neurologists who are already training in movement disorders. The audience consists of members of the MDS-European Section with a particular focus on supporting young neurologists from Eastern Europe.
Participation in this course requires working proficiency of English as well as working knowledge of the diagnosis and general management of various movement disorders.
Topics cover parkinsonism, hyperkinetic disorders and complex issues in movement disorders. This online course also offers interactive components with videos covering fundamental topic talks, virtual patient examinations, and bring your own case presentations from students. Interactive sessions will be heavily featured including live discussion, polling and social breaks.
This course is relevant for young neurologists within five years of completion of general neurological training who are interested in specializing in Movement Disorders and young neurologists already enrolled in, or recently completed, Movement Disorders training.
After successful completion of the course, participants will be able to examine a patient with a movement disorder, reach a diagnosis on straightforward movement disorders cases, propose a differential diagnosis on more complex movement disorders patients, present a movement disorders case history, design, review and modify a patient treatment plan.
