The European Brain Council (EBC) has launched a new video series, “Science and Society”, to raise awareness of brain disorders and for those living with these conditions. Furthermore, the videos aim to build a stronger voice for basic neuroscience and the research that goes on “behind the scenes” to learn more about the underlying causes for different brain disorders and their treatments, as well as the research that is conducted to gain insight on the mechanisms behind the disease.
The “Science and Society” videos are supported by experts and patients in the chosen field, the Federation of European Neuroscience Societies (FENS) and the Society for Neuroscience (SfN).
This first video in the series explores Parkinson’s disease, which is estimated to affect around 10 million people worldwide.
