Prof. Claudio Bassetti, President of the EAN and Prof. Sameer Zuberi, President of the EPNS are pleased to announce that:
EAN signed a Memorandum of Understanding with EPNS – European Paediatric Neurology Society joining forces to promote optimal cooperation in Europe between both societies.
The EPNS is the leading European association dedicated to paediatric neurology. Its activities address the interests to advance science and education in paediatric neurology. This collaboration aims to enhance education and scientific endeavours. Jointly, the two organizations will be able to lobby more effectively in Brussels for the recognition of the importance and need for paediatric neurology and brain health and for strengthening funding for research in Europe.
The two societies have agreed to collaborate on the following specific activities to deliver this goal:
Scientific Conferences: EPNS will be invited to submit session proposals
Best Practice Guidelines: nominate representatives for each other’s guidelines modules,
Optimizing Education: educational activities related to a common topic will be organized
Endorsement of reciprocal meetings
The two societies’ mutual aspirations are complementary and fit well together.
