Prof. Claudio Bassetti, President of the EAN and Prof. Wim Oyen, President of the EANM are pleased to announce that:
EAN signed a Memorandum of Understanding with EANM – European Association of Nuclear Medicine joining forces to promote optimal cooperation in Europe between both societies.
The European Association of Nuclear Medicine is the leading European association dedicated to nuclear medicine. Its activities address the interests to advance science and education in nuclear medicine for the benefit of public health and humanity within the concept of personalized healthcare. This collaboration aims to enhance education and scientific endeavours. Jointly, the two organizations will be able to lobby more effectively in Brussels for the recognition of the importance and need for brain health and for strengthening funding for research in Europe.
The two societies have agreed to collaborate on the following specific activities to deliver this goal:
Scientific Conferences: EANM will be invited to submit session proposals
Best Practice Guidelines: nominate representatives for each other’s guidelines modules,
Optimizing Education: educational activities related to a common topic will be organized
The two societies’ mutual aspirations are complementary and fit well together.
