This year’s Networking event during the 5th EAN congress took place at the Oslo City Hall on Monday evening (July 1), where the attendees were impressed by the striking functional architecture and scale of the main hall. Olso’s deputy mayor, Kamzy Gunaratnam, welcomed EAN delegates to Oslo and expressed the city’s appreciation of the work carried out by neurologists and its importance to society. Prof. Deuschl then took the podium to thank the deputy mayor and remind the delegates of what an honour it is to be hosted by the city of Oslo and encouraged them all to explore the city and the country as much as they can. Afterwards, everyone had the chance to enjoy some food and drinks, courtesy of the City of Oslo, in relaxing atmosphere before being taken on a guided tour of City Hall, to learn more about its impressive history (as it also serves as the venue for the Nobel Peace Prize Award Ceremony) and the many painting and architectural features of the building.
