The European Medicines Agency (EMA) is launching a new version of its corporate website for the HCPWP – Health Care Professional Working Party of which EAN is a partner, www.ema.europa.eu, on Thursday 27 September.
The new website will help us to further improve our communication cooperation with our partners and stakeholders, including the European Commission and our networks and will support us in reaching out to EU citizens and provide them with high-quality, accessible information on medicines.
The upgrade of the website was possible thanks to close collaboration between EMA and the European Commission (DG DIGIT). DG DIGIT will also maintain the publishing system for EMA’s corporate website in the future.
The new website will have cleaner display on mobile devices, simpler URLs and an updated visual design. It will also have an improved search, which EMA will further refine after the go-live. These improvements are intended to address important issues with the current website, as highlighted by users and stakeholders.
The current website content and structure will remain unchanged. The current URLs for every page and document will also continue to work, thanks to redirects from the current site to the new one. However, if you have bookmarked any current URLs, we encourage you to consider updating these after the new website goes live.
EMA is launching its new corporate website now after careful planning to ensure that the site was moved to a new platform hosted in the cloud, before its relocation to Amsterdam next year.
The new website has been designed to display best on the latest web browsers, so we recommend viewing it for example on Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge rather than Internet Explorer.
If you have any specific questions or feedback on the new website once it is launched, please let us know.
Kind regards,
