Summary of activities in the last 12 months
The Panel reviewed currently used functional scores (K Diserens, Lausanne CH), posted one Neurology update (R. Formisano, Rome I), and submitted a review of relevant literature in the last 20 years for younger colleagues (C. Chatelle, LiègeB).
Furthermore, an active liaison in terms of teaching activity is coordinated by A. Rossetti, along with the participation to the Guidelines regarding prognostication after cardiac arrest (head: M. Damian UK, Neurocrit. Care Panel).
Unfortunately, all 6 scientific proposals for 2018 have been rejected (in spite of several being submitted with other Panels), one symposium has been recently suggested following the Scientific committee request (head: P. Boon, Gent B).
Suggestion of topics of the upcoming meeting (Oslo 2019)
No suggestion needed by the EAN so far, request will come in winter.
A suggestion is made to the Scientific committee regarding considering consider combining the business meeting to a small focused workshop; this would allow a more or less constant representation in the scientific program also of small Panels, and increase the motivation of their members. This proposal has been restated at the Panel chairs meeting.

The EAN offers 2 free admissions for the upcoming meeting to each Panel; applicants must prove their practical contribution to the panel.
