Brain Awareness Week (BAW) is the global campaign to increase public awareness of the progress and benefits of brain research. It is an opportunity to let people know about the progress that are being done in brain research as well as progress in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disorders of the brain, such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, stroke, multiple sclerosis, etc..
Every March, BAW unites the efforts of partner organisations worldwide in a “celebration of the brain” for people of all ages.
March 13 – 19, 2017
All EAN members are invited to organise events in order to communicate people the importance of scientific brain research and the new possibilities in the care of brain and nerve diseases. EAN will be happy to receive pictures and information on the organised events.
