Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to develop your professional standing, leadership skills, and to make new neuro-friends from across Europe?
Members of our standing committees kindly serve EAN for a 4-year term. Therefore, we need to renew part of the committee members every other year according to the bylaws. After the successful congress in Copenhagen, the Society now would like to start this process for the first time. We are calling therefore for expressions of interest within the next 2 weeks until July 15th 2016.
The following positions are available and we need replacements for:
1. Education Committee, Teaching Course Subcommittee and Quality Assurance Subcommittee. Up to 5 positions are potentially vacant for the new academic year. The education committee & subcommittees are responsible for planning, conducting and evaluating all educational events of EAN. A track record in neurology education and/or assessment is particularly desirable.
2. Programme committee. Up to two new members are sought. The Programme committee is responsible for the entire scientific congress programme and elaborating all other congress related issues.
3. Liaison committee. Up to two new members are sought for this committee which is developing all outside relations of the Society including the different media channels and all European affairs.
4. Scientific committee. Up to 3 positions are vacant. The scientific committee is responsible for the development of scientific contributions for our media, the development of Guidelines and counselling for the board and other committees.
Committee members must be (or become) EAN Full Individual members, attend the EAN annual congress, and at least one other face to face meeting during the year, in addition to regular email contact.
Selections will be made on the basis of qualification, gender, speciality and geographical distribution by the committee chairs and the president. Expenses for any meetings outside the congress are fully met, but the position is otherwise entirely honorary.
If you are interested, please send a summary CV and brief outline (~ 250 words) of your specific experience/expertise to headoffice@ean.org by Friday 15th July 2016.
