Impressive results emerge from a study recently published in Science from a group of scientists who were able to identify a small-molecule inhibitor of 15-PGDH (SW033291) that increases prostaglandin PGE2 levels in bone marrow and other tissues. This molecule was able to promote incredibly fast regeneration in the bone marrow, liver and colon of mice. Authors hope to test it in humans within three years.
