For the 1st EAN Congress in Berlin 2015, a total of 1966 abstracts were submitted. Out of these, 1740 abstracts were accepted.
There will be 26 oral sessions with 6 presentations each taking place from Saturday – Monday in the afternoon.
As a novelty, it has been determined that there will only be e-posters at the congress this year.
Within the ePoster area (in front of the exhibition hall) there will be poster screens (15 big screens & 20 computer stations) available throughout the whole congress, where presenters and audience will be able to interact with each other. You will be able to contact poster presenters and meet with them at any time at one of the poster screens to discuss his/her work.
In addition, there will be Flash ePoster sessions and ePoster sessions with discussion taking place from Saturday – Tuesday, 12.30 – 13.15 and 13.30 – 14.15.
Flash poster sessions will have presenters standing next to the dedicated screen and the posters will slide by. Each poster will be available for approximately 2 minutes and the presenters will have the possibility to highlight their most important data.
In the poster session with discussion, there will be 45 minutes for up to 9 presentations at the poster screens. A chairperson will be present and discuss each presentation with the contributor. Each presenter will approximately have 3 minutes of presentation time and 2 minutes for discussion.
Detailed information on the poster sessions can be found on the congress website – general information – ePoster Sessions.
The EAN has granted 300 bursaries, from which 20 are co-sponsored by the Movement Disorders Society (MDS-ES).
