David B. Vodusek: How does it feel to be the EAN Secretary General? What is your main message to the European community?
Didier Leys: The European Academy of Neurology was born in Istanbul on June 3rd, after a 5-year process of discussions between the EFNS and the ENS. It will be a great advantage for European neurologists to be represented at the European level by 1 single society that includes all the fields of our specialty. I will do my best, as General Secretary, to make the EAN a successful society.
Didier Leys is Professor of Neurology at Lille University in France.
