The European Association of Young Neurologists and Trainees (EAYNT) held its annual task force meeting on February 2nd 2013 at the EFNS Head Office in Vienna, Austria. EAYNT is an independent Brussels-based organization representing residents and junior neurologists at the European level, and acts on behalf of more than 500 members. The meeting was attended by members of current office as well as senior executives of the organization. Topics discussed included comprehensive EAYNT activities in 2013, and current developments in European neurology. Our exciting programme for this year includes hospital visits during major European congresses, lectures in the interest of young neurologists and also networking events. Colleagues interested in finding out more are referred to our most recent article that will soon be available in the European Journal of Neurology. Other sources of information on EAYNT activities include the Facebook blog (www.facebook.com/EAYNT) and the EAYNT homepage (www.eaynt.org). Building on the excellent previous relationship with both the EFNS and ENS, the task force decided to further strengthen links with the future European Academy of Neurology (EAN).
Antonella Macerollo is EAYNT President and neurologist working in Bari, Italy.
