Norwegian Neuroscience Prize 2011
The Norwegian Pfizer Neuroscience prize for 2011 was awarded to Kjell Arne Arntzen for his oral presentation: “Carotid plaque progression predicts lower cognitive test results in a stroke-free population. The Tromsø Study”. The presentation was given during the EFNS Congress in Budapest at the session “Short communications: Cognitive neurology and neuropsychology. The prize is funded by Pfizer, but the jury (or prize committee) is independent and appointed by the Board of the Norwegian Neurological Society.
In 2012, the Norwegian Neurological Society will award a prize for the best national presentation at the EFNS Congress in Stockholm.
