The European Board Examination will take place at the 16th EFNS Congress in Stockholm, Sweden, on September 7th, 2012. Further information can be found on the UEMS EBN website (www.uems-neuroboard.org), in regard to questions, cases and the examination. Also the electronic application for the examination is through this website.
At present the European board examination is only accessible for neurologists who are board certified or board certification eligible in a UEMS full member state or Turkey; it cannot be attended by non-European neurologists.
This will be the 4th European Board Examination after Milan, Geneva and Lisbon, and the examination will be identical to the previous examinations, except that the number of cases that are to be discussed in the oral examination will be raised from 4 to 8. The topics comprise the field of neurology including basic neurosciences, and can be seen at the website.
The questions have been developed by the ENS Subcommittees, EFNS Scientist Panels, European Stroke Society, Movement Disorder Society and the UEMS EBN members. This time for the first time question from ”e-brain“ (www.ebrainjnc.com) will be added.
All questions are rigorously checked for quality and clearness. This is done by the examination committee and an independent university education department.
Each successful candidate is conferred the title ”Fellow of the European Board of Neurology”, which is a sign of excellence. The fellows are listed on the UEMS EBN website.
If you have questions concerning this examination, please do not hesitate to contact the UEMS EBN secretariat:
